A Bridal Shower with Kaftans and Cocktails

Athena Dress Kaftan

We are so happy to share that KYNAH bride Prianka was able to live her bridal shower dreams by celebrating with a Kaftans and Cocktails-themed shower. Aiming for a 1970’s glam aesthetic reminiscent of a vintage cocktail party, Prianka looked gorgeous in the Athena Dress which perfectly fit her theme. We are wishing all the best to Prianka and her fiancé in their upcoming celebrations and future!

What was your experience like working with KYNAH for your wedding?

It was a great experience! I am fairly short (5' 2")  and curvy so I often have trouble finding pieces that would fit me perfectly off the rack so I was excited to see that I could customize the Athena Dress by putting in my measurements. Ordinarily, I would have traveled to India to get my outfits, and this was a great option to get a unique and customized outfit for me! I was impressed by the level of service even during a tough time for India going into a second lockdown.

Why attracted you to the Athena Dress?

I first caught a glimpse of KYNAH’s kaftans from @styledbymohar when she wore the Sabrina Kaftan, and I knew then that I wanted to wear a KYNAH kaftan for one of my wedding events. The Athena Dress is elegant, brings a bit of old-world India to the style, and made me feel extremely glamorous.

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme/aesthetic?

I wore the Athena Dress for my bridal shower and the theme was Kaftans and Cocktails. Mainly, I wanted a feeling of a glamorous 1970's beauty throwing a vintage cocktail party in her home. Think Zeenat Aman or Elizabeth Taylor. My Maid of Honor (who is also my sister-in-law) and my bridesmaids planned an amazing bridal shower party at The Pineapple Club in NYC incorporating my love for gold, pineapples, and an elegant vintage flair.

Where are you going on your honeymoon?

We JUST booked a last-minute trip to Punta Cana, Dominican Republic for a few days. However, we are planning a larger honeymoon in January to Tulum, Mexico. We want a mix of luxury, relaxation, and archeological history.

Given the chance to do it all again you would...

Do it all the same. It was perfect and I could not have imagined it any other way.
