Azmi Outfit and Avani Lehenga were just as magical she’d hoped they be. Even Sejal’s mom wore our
Nessa Lehenga for their reception and absolutely killed it! Congratulations to this lovely couple, we wish these two a lifetime of love and happiness.
How was your experience working with the KYNAH team?
Words cannot describe how incredible it was to work with the KYNAH team. Aisha and Simran in particular were extremely helpful, kind, and patient. I had to do the majority of my wedding shopping through WhatsApp so having the chance to shop in person at the pop-up was the best thing that could have happened during that time! Even my mom found her reception gown from the store and loved it!

I wore the
Leone Sari for my cocktail party/welcome party we hosted a week before the wedding as a way for our families to meet and mingle. For this event, I really wanted something that represented old school Bollywood vibes. Something simple yet elegant + fun — the Leone sari was the perfect one! I paired this outfit with long, mermaid waves + a smokey eye — I got so many compliments on this outfit and I can’t wait to wear it again.
The
Azmi Outfit was my second outfit for my Haldi ceremony. I tried on the Azmi in a magenta color when I visited the pop-up shop. Absolutely loved the fit and how comfortable it was so I thought it would be perfect for the summer heat. It was the perfect, most comfortable outfit to wear in 90+ degree weather!
The moment I walked into the pop-up shop and laid my eyes on the Avani Lehenga I knew it was the one. Once I tried it on, Aisha and my mom couldn’t agree more! My reception was held outdoors and the theme was meant to be a very dreamy, modern, and romantic vibe with a mix of both Italian and Grecian touches. Simple, warm, and magical — the Avani Lehenga was exactly that and more. So perfect for my reception!
What was the highlight of your wedding ceremonies?
Since the previous year + 1/2 was in lockdown where we weren’t able to see our families as often or at all, I think one of the highlights of my wedding was having my family all together in the safest way possible. For most of my family and friends, our wedding was the first big event that many were attending so I wanted to make sure that our guests were happy, well fed, and always having fun! The most important highlight of my wedding was finally getting to marry my best friend and love of my life 10 years later.
How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little about your relationship.
My husband, Samir, and I initially met in elementary school — we were in the same homeroom class in 3rd grade. He then left in middle school but we remained acquaintances. It wasn’t until senior year of high school that our paths met again and we ended up going to each of our school’s proms together. Since then we have been dating and it will be 11 years in just a few months!
What was your wedding theme?
Each event had its own unique theme but for my wedding ceremony and reception, the ongoing theme was an ode to my love for Italy and Greece. Our wedding was held at the stunning Saddlerock Ranch venue. My dream was to fill the space with shades of white, cream, and light blush florals with grecian urns for the wedding ceremony. For the reception, adding on to this theme I wanted a pop of color so we added blue-gray taper candles, florals, and various other details surrounding the Italian romantic vibes. I wanted my guests to feel transported into a Italian summer night for the reception and that is exactly what I heard some of them tell me after the events were over!
