We both found our outfits at KYNAH and had a great time communicating with the team in-store to execute our orders!
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
The gold Seema Gujural lehenga I picked was such a showstopper! I tried on (and loved) many, but really envisioned wearing gold. Once I put it on we were all SO excited! It was the perfect shade to highlight my skintone, it made me feel beautiful, and it was the amount of glam I had envisioned for our event.
I met Andrew while he was pursuing his MBA in Chicago at Kellogg. We met through mutual friends on a visit and experienced instant fireworks. From one night out, we knew this was something special! We spent the next year and a half splitting our time between LA and Chicago until he eventually decided to take the plunge and move to LA permanently. We share a deep love of travel, food, and architecture, so he decided that the perfect city to propose would be London! We had planned a trip and he organized everything. He pulled off the most special surprise with the iconic Big Ben and Westminster Palace in the background and finished the night at our favorite restaurant in the world, Gymkhana. We rode the high all week and had the best time!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
How can we pick a favorite part?! We decided to keep our guest count intimate, so being able to spend quality time with each person who joined us was so special to us. We focused a lot on the details so that every person there knew how important they were to us. On our welcome party night, it was so incredible to see our friends and family decked out in Indian festive wear! Seeing Andrew in a sherwani for the first time was incredible, and he rocked it!
I wish I had known about KYNAH earlier! Before discovering them, I tried ordering a lehenga online from another vendor and was so disappointed. The item arrived and it was not as pictured and fit horribly! It was so far from what I had envisioned, I shed a lot of tears over it. The girls at KYNAH really helped to make my bridal vision a reality, and put the disaster lehenga in the rearview!
Because of our shared love of food, it would probably be Jose Andres! We love his jovial energy and his talent for cooking. I think he would have appreciated how much we considered the food and drink experience for everyone, and he would have brought some more laughs!
