As a bride planning a fusion Sikh and Parsi ceremony, she knew she wanted a look that honored her roots while still feeling uniquely her. What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
I had a vision for something outside of the traditional red lehenga, but still wanted to include classic elements. When I saw mine, I knew it had the perfect balance of modern and traditional touches, while also being versatile enough to re-wear in the future.
We have known each other for a long time since our days in undergrad. We did long distance for quite a while as we navigated through our early careers and med school but eventually finally ended up together in the same city! He proposed at the top of the ferris wheel at Union Station in St. Louis, a city that has been central to our relationship with lots of memories and adventures with friends and my hometown! It's also the city we got married in. 
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
Because our wedding was a fusion of both Parsi (Zoroastrian) and Sikh cultures, we did our best to honor both sides equally as much as possible. The best part was having all of our friends and loved ones from all of our various life stages together under one roof like a reunion that was a long time in the making. Truly one of the most surreal moments for both of us.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
There is no "perfect" way to have a wedding. At the end of the day, it really is about celebrating your love and this major life milestone. It's very easy to get wrapped up in all the options available from decor to outfits to food. Stay focused on what's most important to you and your fiancé and ensure that all of your guests have fun!
