Planning her wedding in Germany virtually from the U.S., Nabilah’s journey is a beautiful testament to staying true to yourself and embracing the unexpected. As a Bengali bride, she knew from the start she didn’t want to wear red—instead, she dreamed of something more personal, whimsical, and uniquely her. After discovering KYNAH’s collection of non-traditional bridal looks on Instagram, she found exactly what she’d been searching for: a floral-embroidered lehenga with delicate beading and a romantic charm that felt like a perfect reflection of her style. From a love story that began in Germany and thrived across continents to a heartfelt backyard proposal and a fairytale greenhouse wedding, every part of Nabilah’s celebration was filled with thoughtful details, resilience, and a love that bloomed just like the flowers she adores.
Our beautiful KYNAH bride Nabilah, was truly glowing in the Khushi Bridal Lehenga Set by Kalighata! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
Traditionally, Bengali brides wear red on their wedding day—but I knew from the start that I wanted to do something different. I wanted a bridal look that felt more personal, something that broke away from the usual expectations. That’s when I began searching for a retailer that offered non-red bridal gowns, which proved to be harder than I expected. One day, while scrolling through Instagram, I stumbled across KYNAH—and instantly fell in love. Their bridal collection was stunning, and I was especially drawn to the variety of non-traditional colors they offered. It felt like exactly what I had been looking for.
I reached out to their support team and scheduled a virtual consultation to learn more about their process. From the start, the team was incredibly kind and helpful. I was able to ask all my questions, and they took the time to really understand what I was looking for. After our call, they sent over a curated selection of dresses based on my preferences, which made narrowing down my options so much easier.
Once I placed my order, the KYNAH team kept me in the loop at every stage. They shared updates on my customizations, flagged a small measurement tweak that was needed, and even sent me photos of the final look before it shipped. The whole experience felt personal, thoughtful, and so smooth—and it made choosing a non-traditional bridal outfit one of the best decisions I made for my wedding.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
Anyone who knows me knows I love florals! One of my favorite things about my bridal lehenga was how beautifully floral elements were woven throughout—especially in the skirt. It added such a romantic, whimsical touch that felt so me! The dupatta featured the same floral design, which brought the entire look together seamlessly. And of course, like any bride, I wanted a bit of sparkle—so the delicate beading around the blouse and sleeves gave it just the right amount of shimmer. The outfit felt like a true reflection of who I am, which is exactly how I wanted to feel on my wedding day.
Something I wish I had known before planning my wedding is that no matter how much effort you put into planning, not everything will go exactly as expected on the day—and that’s completely okay. Things might shift, timelines might blur, and little surprises will pop up. But honestly, none of that matters in the grand scheme. The most important thing is to be present, soak it all in, and truly live in the moment. That’s what you’ll remember most.
If we could invite any celebrity to our wedding, it would be Robert De Niro. We’re both huge fans of his work and love so many of the movies he’s been in!
