Elakya’s Greenhouse Wedding in the Aleesa Lehenga

Elakya’s Greenhouse Wedding in the Aleesa Lehenga

Elakya’s wedding was a beautiful blend of heartfelt details, meaningful traditions, and a touch of magic. A Toronto bride who discovered KYNAH through her mother-in-law, she instantly fell in love with a shimmering lehenga that brought her princess vision to life. From a long-distance love story that started on Hinge to a proposal under twinkling lights at the Chicago Botanic Gardens, every moment of her journey reflects warmth, thoughtfulness, and the deep connection she shares with her partner. With a greenhouse venue, her beloved puppy by her side, and personalized touches inspired by her love for books and his for art, Elakya’s wedding was nothing short of enchanting.

Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.

I heard about KYNAH through my mother-in-law when she sent me a picture of the lehenga. I absolutely fell in love with it for its beauty and because it was exactly what I was looking for. Khushbu was my point of contact and she was wonderful to work with. She was incredibly patient with my endless emails and questions about the outfit. The team worked closely with me to ensure the blouse was made exactly to my specifications. They were fantastic and managed to get everything done in such a short period of time which was only about 2.5 months before my wedding date. I was really worried the outfit wouldn’t arrive on time or that it wouldn’t fit, but it all worked out perfectly. The outfit was absolutely beautiful, and I truly felt like a princess.

What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
I was really looking for a magical outfit that would make me feel like a princess. I also had a specific color theme in mind, and when I saw this lehenga, I instantly fell in love. It was shimmery, unique, and the color was exactly what I had envisioned.

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
Just how much work goes into pulling everything off—especially on a short timeline! Our wedding venue didn’t include essentials like tablecloths, cutlery, or dishes, so we had to find vendors for all of that, which was definitely a learning experience.
