I heard about KYNAH through my mother-in-law when she sent me a picture of the lehenga. I absolutely fell in love with it for its beauty and because it was exactly what I was looking for. Khushbu was my point of contact and she was wonderful to work with. She was incredibly patient with my endless emails and questions about the outfit. The team worked closely with me to ensure the blouse was made exactly to my specifications. They were fantastic and managed to get everything done in such a short period of time which was only about 2.5 months before my wedding date. I was really worried the outfit wouldn’t arrive on time or that it wouldn’t fit, but it all worked out perfectly. The outfit was absolutely beautiful, and I truly felt like a princess.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
I was really looking for a magical outfit that would make me feel like a princess. I also had a specific color theme in mind, and when I saw this lehenga, I instantly fell in love. It was shimmery, unique, and the color was exactly what I had envisioned.
My partner and I met online on Hinge—though he catfished me about his location! His profile said he was in Brampton, ON, but he was actually in Nashville at the time. He told me the truth right after I messaged him, and we quickly discovered how much we had in common. We started talking every day and met up in person a couple of months later when he flew to Toronto. We had a wonderful weekend exploring the city and enjoying all the Christmas activities. After that, we were in a long-distance relationship, flying between Chicago (where he lived) and Toronto.
On January 5, 2024, he took me to the Chicago Botanic Gardens as part of my Christmas gift and proposed under the twinkling lights. It was such a beautiful and romantic surprise! We got married on April 14, 2024—just three months later. Our relationship is grounded in kindness, respect, love, and friendship. We have such great adventures together!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
There were so many wonderful moments from our Haldi and Sangeet to the wedding and reception. Spending time with family and friends was especially meaningful, knowing I’d be moving to Chicago after the wedding. I absolutely loved our venue, which was set in a greenhouse—it had a unique, intimate vibe and was full of natural beauty. One of my favorite parts was having my puppy included in the wedding events. We also personalized the day by tying in our passions: I love books and my husband loves art, so our seating chart was designed around romance novels and famous paintings. We even gave out bookmarks with romantic quotes as favors for our guests.
