Anjali in Wonderland

Anjali in Wonderland
A beautiful blend of two cultures truly embraces the uniqueness and simplicity of this adorable couple. This mystical wonderland-type wedding was so magical - from the bright color scheme, the fun decor, and most importantly, the celebration of love! After meeting during college in a small town, the two always had their eye on each other after running into one another almost everywhere! It was only inevitable that they'd tie the knot! Our stunning KYNAH bride Anjali, was captivating in the Red Satin Organza Lehenga set! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

How did you hear about KYNAH? How was your experience working with KYNAH?
I had been following KYNAH on Instagram since before getting engaged! I loved how you offered unique and modern outfits in a way that I haven't seen before. After getting engaged I began looking at all my options for my bridal outfit - online, in person, both inside and outside the U.S. I was impressed by KYNAH's boutique style feel, allowing brides to make an appointment, bring a few friends, and have a personalized experience! I decided to make an appointment about 8 months prior to my wedding and brought my maid of honor and cousin with me! It was such a fun day, I walked in with an open mind and left feeling so excited with my decision. I especially loved the layout of the store! I always thought it would be so fun to have the 'classic' bridal try on appointment, and I love that this option is now available for Indian brides!
What about the Red Satin Organza Lehenga set made you say "yes"?
The look on my Maid of Honor and cousin's faces when I walked out of the fitting room!! I originally wanted to try for the classic red look, and thought I would want something monochromatic. After trying on a few lehengas, our KYNAH stylist suggested this Aisha Rao Red Satin Organza Lehenga. Initially I wasn't sure how it would look on me, but the minute I put it on I knew I was done looking. I loved that it felt extremely light and airy but had intricate detailing all over giving it an elevated look. I never would have imagined myself in such a unique outfit if I saw it online, but being in person and getting to see how it made me feel made all
the difference! The lehenga originally came with a light green dupatta, but I worked with KYNAH to custom make a red dupatta with a matching border that I ended up wearing as my veil! The whole outfit perfectly complemented both my fiancé's look and the overall vibe of our outdoor tropical/garden venue.
Share your favorite memory from your wedding!
Ahh so many to pick from! If I had to choose, I would say the morning of our wedding day. Our venue, The Holly Farm, had a few houses onsite so we had our wedding party staying with us on the venue grounds, which was the best decision ever! From the minute I woke up that morning, I got to be with my girls. We sat together getting our hair and makeup done, chatting and sharing funny stories from the night before. The whole morning was so light and easy, we just went with the flow and I was able to be fully present. All of them carefully helped me put my entire look together which was such a special experience. I felt so grateful to have such a supportive and incredible group of women around me as I got ready for my wedding. Rather than doing any formal photoshoots that morning, we asked our photographer and videographer to just hangout with us while all of these moments were naturally happening, and they captured everything beautifully. I also hadn't planned a formal first look with my parents, but when I saw them that morning it all happened organically. Getting to have those unanticipated intimate moments with them set the foundation for an unforgettable day with smiles all around. Once I was ready, Angel and I had our first look, which overwhelmed me with love and excitement. Seeing him that morning after picturing it in my head for so long, was surreal. We said our vows privately and spent some time enjoying each other's company. I loved that we were able to slow down and take in all that was happening on that special day.
How did you and your partner meet?
Angel and I first met during college in Davis, California around 2014! Davis is a small college town that made it easy for us to run into each other often, and it helped that we had a few fun mutual friends. We would always see each other at the same events during the early years, and finally connected during our senior year and decided to start dating. Our love has been a meaningful journey of finding ways to blend our two cultures together and navigating our careers along the way. Looking at each other on our wedding day knowing how far we have come since we first met was such an inspiring feeling!
