Although the COVID-19 pandemic changed their initial wedding plans, we are so delighted that KYNAH bride Shravani and her husband were able to celebrate with their closest friends and family. Shravani looked gorgeous in the Azmi Outfit for her mehndi night, and it was the perfect look for their ceremony merging her and her husband’s cultures. Congratulations to this beautiful couple!
I really wanted to pick out my wedding clothes in person and do the whole “I said yes to the dress” thing with my bridesmaids. But of course, the pandemic wasn’t going to let that happen. My husband and I resorted to online shopping, and that’s when I found KYNAH on Instagram. Once I chose the Azmi outfit, I had many questions and they were always met with helpful and friendly responses. KYNAH has helped me deal with my anxiety with online wedding dress shopping - it wasn’t easy! I’d absolutely recommend KYNAH to a future bride :)
I was born in South India and raised in the States. I enjoy and respect both cultures and always look for ways to blend them both into my daily life. And anyone who knows me knows how much I love the color yellow. I wanted to blend both Indian and Western attire into a fun henna night outfit and I looked for months to find the right one. One night at 3 a.m., I happened upon the Azmi Outfit and that was the end of the search for me. It looked incredible and felt right. It was just perfect.
My husband is American and I’m a Desi girl. Our goal was to include the important elements from each culture and combine them into one. We didn’t want to have two separate ceremonies, just one with a lot of fun and dancing. Our theme was natural with a rustic touch. We incorporated marigolds and mango leaves and made sure to be surrounded by nature.
Pandemic wedding planning wasn’t easy. We had to make some hard decisions - I’m talking about cutting our guest list down from 200 to 30 and moving all of our events outdoors regardless of weather conditions. But the journey was indeed special.
I was most looking forward to starting the celebration with my loved ones and dancing the night away. I was ready to see everything we planned come to life. It was truly magical!
