A Traditional Nepali Ceremony in the Red Iris

Ulina served an epic reception look in a custom Red Iris Lehenga by Chamee & Palak! She was a contemporary vision of beauty in this piece! The KYNAH team was so happy to hear that we were able to deliver the perfect lehenga to her on her special day! We wish these two a lifetime of love & happiness, congratulations!

How was your shopping experience with Team KYNAH?
Team KYNAH was helpful and responsive. There were some concerns over a few measurements I sent over. We communicated and made sure it was the right fit. The lehenga turned out to be a perfect fit.

Why did you say "Yes!" to a custom Red Iris Lehenga?
Once my wedding date was fixed, I started looking for a lehenga for my reception online. I came across KYNAH and browsed lehengas they had. When I saw the Red Iris Lehenga, I knew it was the one. I had to look no more and contacted Team KYNAH for further processing for the purchase.

How did you add your personal touch to you and your husband’s big day?
I am from Nepal and my husband is from the US. My husband was fine with the wedding style that I wanted. Thus we flew to Nepal to do a traditional Newari wedding.
Nyapu Shikha (Nyapu-five and Shikha-chain) is a traditional newari hair Jewelry. It has five rows of chain interconnected. For my hair Jewelry, I wore that along with some roses that my mom got for me on our wedding day. My husband wore a Dhaka topi, a Nepali hat which is worn by men in Nepali traditions.

If you had to choose one moment from your wedding day, what would it be?
We have a tradition to give Areca nuts to family and friends during weddings. Giving those nuts to my family as a way to say goodbye was an emotional moment for me. Even though there were few tears involved, I would choose that moment as those were happy tears of wishing us a bright future ahead.

If you could’ve invited one celebrity to your wedding, who would it have been and why
We actually invited the celebrity that we wanted to have in our wedding (obviously we were not expecting any kind of response). To our surprise, he did respond to our message. Even though he was in Nepal, he was not in the same city but he sent us best wishes for our wedding. We both were extremely happy to hear from him.
My husband and I both love cooking and have followed him in his journey of Masterchef competition. He is Chef Santosh Shah, finalist in BBC MasterChef UK Professionals 2020 and winner of MasterChef UK The Professionals - Rematch 2021.
