KYNAH bride, Toral Vaidya, started out with an intimate ceremony but killed it in our whimsical Artiste Lehenga at The Ace Hotel for her wedding celebration. She stood out against the desert background in this colorful lehenga. The KYNAH team wishes all the love and happiness to this newly married couple and was happy to help perfect her day!
How was your experience with KYNAH?
Designing my outfit with KYNAH was a seamless experience. I had a bridal consultation with Aisha and her team last January, and had a few additional meetings with the team for my measurements and final outfit details. I also visited their pop-up in LA last spring where I tried on similar pieces so I could get an idea of what styles fit best for me. The KYNAH team was attentive to details, communicative and extremely personable.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme/aesthetic?
We drew much of our inspiration from the venue itself, the Ace Hotel & Swim Club Palm Springs. The Ace Hotel is a unique, laid back getaway in the middle of the desert. It’s surrounded by palm trees and mountains which really made it feel like an escape. Our overall aesthetic was laid back but elegant.
Why did you choose this specific style for your look?
My husband Raj and I got married in an intimate ceremony with family this past June. In September, we threw a wedding weekend celebration with our friends at the Ace Hotel in Palm Springs! I wanted to wear something modern and colorful with an Indian flare. The Artiste Lehenga by Papa Don’t Preach was the perfect outfit for my Palm Springs reception.
Favorite song that played at the reception?
That is so hard for us to choose! Our brother-in-law, DJ Suhel, played for our reception. We asked him to play hip hop and rap hits from 2005-2015. He also had a dhol player, Nihal Singh, accompany him throughout his DJ set. Every single song brought back so many good memories with our friends.
