Shivani’s love story is as vibrant as her KYNAH Haldi look, complete with bold prints, seashells, and the kind of details that make a bride instantly fall in love. After a breathtaking proposal overlooking Lake Louise, she brought that same magic into a wedding designed with intention and heart. As said by Shivani:
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
The embroidery of the top was stunning. The seashells and mirrors added extra personality and were a fun bonus! My favorite thing about the outfit was the bold print. It caught my eye immediately and I knew it was the perfect outfit for a bride!
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
My husband proposed at the top of a snowy hike looking over Lake Louise in Banff, Canada! We have recently relocated to Washington state and it has been on our bucket list for years. I thought I knew it was coming but was shocked on when and where it happened. It was intimate and magical and he surprised me with a stay at a resort hotel nearby where we spent the evening reminiscing. We were 4 years in the making and had made it through a year of long distance. We were both so ready for that next step. He truly is my person.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
My favorite part of my wedding was the Haldi! It was playful, fun and there was no pressure. It was the first time I was seeing all of my family and we were both overwhelmed by the love that we felt having both of our families in the same space for the first time. Our entire wedding was extremely personal. My husbands family is Caucasian and no one has experienced an Indian wedding before so we made sure that every detail was intentional. We ensured that all ceremonies were explained in English and the significance shared. We brought some trinkets from India, DIY’d a few projects and my sister did graphic design for almost everything including our whimsical invitations.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
I wish I had my planner before booking my main venue. They were the biggest asset I wished I had leaned on more. The wedding would have fallen apart without their level of detail and care!
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
I am the biggest Miley Cyrus girl!!! My husband would have died and went to heaven if Luke Combs sang at our wedding!
