Bound Together by Love, And Outfits

A beautiful Hawaiian-Hindu fusion wedding took place by the shimmering blue sea, where our lovely KYNAH couple Rei and Aman wore a medley of outfits from yours truly! KYNAH bride Rei not only wore KYNAH for her wedding events but also wore the Sabrina Kaftan for her elopement! She looked stunning in Seema Gujral's Ara Lehenga as well as House of Masaba's Autumn Bouquet Corset Lehenga - twinning with the KYNAH groom Aman! Talk about a real KYNAH couple! Congratulations to this sweet couple - we couldn't be more happier for you both!

How did you hear about KYNAH? How was your experience working with KYNAH?

I've been a fan of KYNAH, even before I decided to get the Sabrina Kaftan for my elopement. I'd seen these gorgeous outfits everywhere, and I could imagine myself looking that beautiful. I loved my first experience so much. From the thoughtful and timely communication with the team to the suggestions on cut

and fit—when I was planning the family wedding, I knew that the ceremonial

outfits had to come from KYNAH. And sure enough, the entire experience was

so enjoyable we decided to get our reception outfits from you guys, too!

Which KYNAH outfits did you wear for your wedding events? Why did you choose them for those events?

For our ceremonial outfits, we wanted luxury and glam with a nod to tradition, which meant both the Bride and Groom's outfits had to come from Seema Gujral. The Bride's outfit was the Ara Lehenga with the Ahila dupatta, and the Groom's outfit was the Ivory & Gold Zardosi Sherwani Set. When it came time to pick the Reception outfits, we wanted something colorful and fun with a huge wow factor: House of Masaba. The Bride's outfit was the Autumn Bouquet Corset Lehenga, and the Groom's outfit was the matching. Both

designers celebrate men and women of all sizes, and that message resonated with us.

How did he propose? Tell us more about your relationship!

Aman was my best friend way before we ever became boyfriend and girlfriend.

Trust and respect are the foundations of our relationship, but also

humor—he is my best friend, after all. The first time Aman proposed was with a makeshift ring from a gingerbread man during our trip to Disneyland—adorable. The second time he proposed, we were in our pajamas. That ended up being a COVID wedding, and while it was practically perfect, we missed celebrating with everyone we loved. No proposal was needed when we decided to have a second celebration with all of our friends and family. We just knew that we wanted to bring everyone together and celebrate love in all its forms.

What is one moment from your wedding that you wish you could go back to?

The moment the conch shell was blown and the chanting began, I started to

walk down the stone path. As I rounded the corner, I could see through the doors a bright light. Aman was standing in front of these vast floor-to-ceiling windows, and everything around him darkened, but his visage began to glow. That moment when I looked up and saw him, I wanted to go back and just pause and sit there for a while to enjoy it more.

What was your wedding aesthetic/theme?

Our Hawaiian-Hindu fusion wedding brought in all the wonderful, vibrant colors our cultures are known for and honored our spiritual sides. We wanted our guests to feel like they were at a beach party but elevated with rich, colorful linens from LaTavola and tons of fresh flowers from Lalamilo Flower Girl. We wanted the entire experience to be a feast for the senses, from the sweet fragrant hanging leis to the delicious luau menu and the curated nighttime lights.
