Sparkle, Vows, and Espresso: Priya’s Wedding Day

Priya and Shreyas’s wedding was the perfect blend of love, meaning, and personal touches, each moment thoughtfully crafted to reflect their seven-year journey together. What began as a surprise boat proposal turned into a celebration full of emotion and joy. Priya radiated confidence in her sparkly yet elegant KYNAH outfit, which set the tone for a day that felt as special as it looked. From heartfelt, surprise vows to a custom espresso cart honoring their shared love of coffee, every detail felt uniquely them. Surrounded by friends and family from all chapters of their lives, their wedding became more than a celebration - it became a reflection of who they are as a couple.

Our beautiful KYNAH bride Priya, was truly glowing in a custom Serai Lehenga by Seema Gujral, transformed into a stunning gown! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
The team at KYNAH was wonderful! Everyone was so warm and helpful from the minute I stepped into the store for my appointment. When I expressed interest in a gown, they let me know that they didn't have any gowns in store, but that any of their lehengas could be turned into gowns, as well as that any outfit could be customized to change color. This really helped me bring my vision to life and the team helped me envision what my outfit would look like. I opted to go the custom route, which can be scary as you can't try it on immediately, but they assured me throughout, and I even received my outfit ahead of schedule! Everyone was so professional and kind, even when they needed to follow up for additional information.

What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
The work on the outfit was so well done. It was sparkly and bold, yet still felt so elegant. I knew it was the one for me because of how confident I felt wearing it!

How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
My favorite part was seeing people from all different parts of my life meeting, mingling, and even becoming friends! In terms of the events themselves, one of the most special moments was when my husband and I read personalized vows to each other. We had kept them a surprise, so it was incredibly heartwarming to hear what we had each prepared. We also added a personal touch by having an espresso cart at the ceremony with custom cup sleeves. My husband and I are both obsessed with coffee (you’ll almost always find us with a cup in hand) so we loved having our first iced latte as husband and wife.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
You’re going to get decision fatigue. If you have a vision, make sure to document it clearly with notes and reference photos early on, while you still have the energy. As the date gets closer, making decisions becomes more exhausting and having that early documentation makes it so much easier to stay aligned with your original vision.
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
This is a hard one! My first reaction was Kris Jenner, probably because she would give an extravagent gift. But I just asked my partner, and he said Shah Rukh Khan, because he seems like he'd be fun to hang out with a reception.
