Going into dress shopping, I knew I wanted my outfit to be comfortable, and I wanted what I wore to be a reflection of my Indian heritage and modern upbringing. I loved how sleek and glamorous the Ivory Paris lengha was, and felt it would be perfect for our outdoor garden vow ceremony. I also knew I had to incorporate some color into my wedding attire, a staple for an Indian bride. When I tried on the Thiya lengha, I loved how flowy and light it was - It was perfect for our summer evening reception.

We met in Santa Barbara during college, and have now been together for 9 years. He proposed in 2022 on a walk along the beach in San Diego. I was fully surprised when our friends and family showed up after dinner to celebrate!

The whole day was perfect. We were happy to have our closest friends and family there to celebrate our union, and the day felt really authentic to us. We went for an organic, whimsical, neutral aesthetic, and curated the music to reflect a bit of the classics, our modern taste, and my Indian and his Afghan culture. My favorite parts of the day were hearing my husband’s vows, and our first dance. I also loved that my girlfriends performed a fun Indian dance number during our reception - They crushed it!
