Indu’s Intimate Wedding: A Dream Sari and Cherished Moments
Indu’s experience with KYNAH was nothing short of incredible, from the seamless ordering process to the perfect fit of her dream outfit. As someone who has always struggled to find Indian wear that complements her height, she was reassured by the team’s support and quick delivery. For her intimate civil ceremony at home, she wore a stunning Ridhi Mehra sari—a piece she had admired on KYNAH for over a year before wedding planning even began. The soft ruffles and elegant silhouette made her feel radiant, even amidst the inevitable wedding-day chaos. Surrounded by 50 of their closest loved ones, Indu and Shane created unforgettable memories, from flying kites in the morning to realizing—too late—that a DJ is always a must!
Our beautiful KYNAH bride Indu was glowing in the sari by Ridhi Mehra! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!
As said by Indu:
Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
My experience working with KYNAH was absolutely incredible from start to finish. I've always had difficulty finding Indian wear that will fit my length because I am tall, a simple message to the team helped reassure me that the dress would fit me, and it was dispatched and in my hands VERY quickly.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
I had been looking at the sari by Ridhi Mehra for a year on KYNAH before planning for my wedding even began. The soft romantic ruffles and the elegant silhouette won me over immediately.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
My husband, Shane, and I have been together since high school. The first day my family got internet at home (I know- the dark ages), I downloaded MSN and started chatting with him. Since then, we've had several bouts of long distance for schooling and work. From Poland to Grenada, and now the US and Canada. A few years ago, in the midst of all that long distance, Shane bought a ring and planned to propose by our favourite lake. However, it all ended up happening the night before on the floor of our bathroom as I stepped out of the shower. It was perfect.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
How do I choose? It was perfect in every way, even through the chaos of all the things that could and did go wrong. We were surrounded by 50 of our closest friends and family, in our home. Even still, Shane made the time to steal me away in the morning to do something we enjoyed doing as teens when we met so long ago. We flew some kites.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
I wish I knew that we absolutely needed a DJ even if it was a tiny wedding. A MacBook, Shane's elaborate playlists, and some speakers did NOT cut it.
