Thoughtfully curated and effortlessly cool, Nabilah’s wedding redefined what a modern South Asian celebration can look like. From a custom KYNAH Seema Gujral lehenga designed with deeply personal meaning to a non-traditional celebration that reflected her creative vision, every element of the day felt deliberate and expressive. Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
We had a fabulous experience working with Aisha and the team. Because I was condensing the traditional South Asian wedding into effectively 3 events, I wanted my lehenga to cover off on the glamour of a sangeet (which I was skipping), the traditional white/light colors of an Ismaili wedding, and fun little odes to my grandmother (who loves pearls) and couldn't make it. Aisha helped us to create a customized Seema Gujral that perfect fit the needs! And created my perfect high-low pizza party at Pijja Palace.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?

Because I fully creative directed my wedding and handpicked every single vendor I worked with, seeing the whole vision come to life was really exciting. But also seeing the reactions from our family and friends on how to do a non-traditional wedding was really fun for us! We very much picked and chose the elements we wanted of weddings and created what we wanted for us, and it seemed to resonate!

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding? 

More time. Always.
