How was your experience with Team KYNAH?
I loved my KYNAH experience. I came with two of my best friends and we felt so welcomed. Everyone at the pop up gave me their undivided attention, listened to exactly what I wanted and the vision that I wanted and really helped me to bring it to life. All of my contact with them was so professional, efficient and helpful during the entire process! I couldn't have been more thrilled about how all the KYNAH girls took care of me!!

How did the Melanie & Viola Lehengas make you feel? Why were you drawn to them?
My husband is American and so my wedding was an Indian/American hybrid style wedding! I really wanted to feel like a modern Indian bride instead of going the traditional route. With the Viola Lehenga, the colors and style were so funky that I was instantly drawn to it. The details on the skirt, the stunning cut of the back of the top, the tier on the bottom of the skirt were all so perfect in every way and made me truly feel like a princess during my mehndi. The Melanie Lehenga was the perfect lehenga for my outdoor spring wedding. I loved the flower and pearl detail and being able to design a custom veil with those details to walk down the aisle with felt so special and very me!

How did you add your personal touch to you and your husband's big day?
Well, my very American, sports-loving husband is from Chicago and a big Chicago Bulls fan and so our wedding entrance was us wearing Bulls jackets over our traditional Indian outfits and entering to the Bulls Entrance song! We also loved blending my Indian and his American background and customs together, from including our own personal wedding vows into our traditional Hindu ceremony, having all of our American bridesmaids/groomsmen and his parents in traditional Indian outfits and including a mix of modern American music with some classic Bollywood hits, it was a true blending of the two of us :)!

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme/aesthetic?
Our wedding was on a beautiful ranch in Santa Barbara full of llamas and alpacas. The nature was truly the beauty here and we really did not feel like we needed to add much to it - we loved the spring vibe, how lush and green everything was and the simplicity of it all! The llamas were of course, our extra special guests!

How did he propose?
I'm a physician and work long hours and was so excited about my two week vacation coming up. We planned a big trip for my second week and a little staycation at home for the first week. Well on my first night of my "staycation" he woke me up at 3am to tell me to pack a bag because he had a Cabo trip planned and our flight was in 3 hours...! I thought he would do it at one of our nice dinners in Cabo but then he surprised me AGAIN and brought the ring underwater while we were snorkeling with sea lions and proposed underwater - don't worry he tied the ring to his finger so he couldn't loose it! ;)
