My fiance, Akshay, and I met in college at Drexel University in Philadelphia just before I started Physician Assistant school. We now both live in NYC. I'm working in the Emergency Department at Mount Sinai amidst this whole pandemic so being on the front lines has been quite an experience.
Tell us a little bit about the event, where was it, and what was your vision for your engagement?
We luckily had an opportunity to celebrate prior to the pandemic occurring here in the states. Akshay and his family are from California, so we had our engagement party on February 15th at a vineyard in Temecula, California. The party was absolutely magical! I had a very rustic, DIY theme in mind that truly came to life. We had some outdoor games, coaster painting, wine tasting, and dancing until the end of the party. I had family and friends travel across the country for it.
Why did you choose this particular look?
The Margaux Lehenga from KYNAH fit my exact vibe. I like a simple, elegant, and classy look plus this was perfect for the outdoor/indoor party. This outfit was everything! I felt like a princess. I accessorized with a diamond necklace and earrings which brought everything together quite nicely.
