A Blue Moment in the Azure
Our gorgeous bride, Zeena Khalfan, was a show-stopper at her reception in the Azure Lehenga!The intricate white resham embroidery on the contrasting blue base made it the perfect statement piece for her big day! How was your shopping experience with Team KYNAH?
I had a great experience! I love how I was able to customize the Azure Lehenga's blouse to be in the style I wanted, to make it feel more like me :) The team was super helpful from the beginning and the outfit arrived much sooner than expected which gave me time to coordinate jewelry and shoes.
What was it about the Azure Lehenga that made you say "YES!"?
I knew I wanted to wear a blue lehenga for my reception and I had been looking online for a few months as well as in stores in LA. I came across the Azure Lehenga on KYNAH's website and knew immediately that I loved the color and the style. I really wanted something that was simple but elegant and incorporated mostly thread-work and was not super heavy. I tried on a different outfit by the same designer and fell in love with that blouse style, so I was able to get the Azure Lehenga personalized with the blouse style from the Olivia Lehenga and it made the outfit perfect for me.
What is one moment from your wedding day that you'll never forget?
There were way too many unforgettable moments, but my favorite moments centered around the dance performances. Zoheb had a surprise performance at the end of an amazing skit our friends planned. I had no idea he planned to go full on Hrithik Roshan on me and performed the Ghungroo dance flawlessly. He got his groomsmen involved and it was definitely a performance to remember.
How did you add your personal touch to you and your husband's big day?
Zoheb and I love to travel so we incorporated that into so many parts of the wedding from our logo (which he designed!), to our table names being cities we've traveled to all over the world, to the table placement cards which were boarding passes with photos of us from those locations and scratch offs to reveal the locations where guests would be sitting. And separately we both love chaat food, so instead of having a cocktail hour before the reception, we had a full on street food chaat hour with panipuri, dahi puri, bhel puri, sev puri and tandoori chai!
Do you have advice for brides/brides-to-be?
Wear the outfit/shoes/jewelry that you want and that you will feel like you in. And I highly recommend having a planner. It's the best feeling to not have to worry about a single thing on your wedding day except eating, dancing and having a good time with your friends and family. Lastly, we got married in a super small backyard ceremony in 2021 and then decided to celebrate a year later with a reception only, with no stress and all party. It was the best decision we made by separating those two.
