KYNAH bride, Sheela Saini, married the love of her life in Seema Gujral’s Pali Lehenga. Having a pandemic wedding taught Sheela not to get caught up in the things that don’t pan out but to focus on the unforgettable moments. She knew it was about cherishing her big day and the fact that she gets to start an exciting chapter of her life with her new husband soon! Congrats and the KYNAH team wish these two a lifetime of love and happiness!
How was your experience with KYNAH?
My experience with KYNAH was amazing. I initially found KYNAH through Instagram and when I saw the different campaigns I was in love. I initially wasn't sure which wedding event I wanted outfits for, so I was looking for each event. The process working with Aisha and team was so down to earth. It felt like I was shopping with friends, who were so attentive to everything I needed. I think it was one of the easiest experiences I had, especially with the uncertainty of COVID.
Why did you end up choosing the Pali? What about it got your attention?
After looking through all the outfits at KYNAH, specifically pieces which were beaded and pastel colored I fell in love with the Pali. I was looking for a piece which was beaded, sparkled and felt good on my body shape. Being able to see the Pali styled through photos, but also videos really helped. I was initially looking at a handful of pieces, but as soon as I tried it on at the pop-up I was not able to let it go.
What's something you wish someone would have told you before you began your wedding planning?
I think with COVID specifically, I wish I knew to keep in mind that everything was going to be perfect whether or not things turned out like my Pinterest boards. Too much stress can come with trying to achieve something that isn't always necessary. It turned out beautiful with having those we loved attending and enjoying our love with them.
How did you and your husband meet?
My husband and I met through my cousin's, who happened to be his very close friends. I had a huge crush on him (which he loves to hear) for a few years, but being shy I never did anything about it. As time passed, we started talking more and within months it was hard to stop talking.
If you had to choose one moment from your wedding day that you will never forget, what would it be?
I think the first look was one of the most special moments. I know my husband was stressed out, but I was so happy to finally be marrying him that my stress was completely gone. I couldn't stop smiling all day, especially when I first saw him at the gurudwara. I was ready to get married and start the next chapter of our lives together.
