Ivory Elegance: Rhea’s Fusion Wedding

Ivory Elegance: Rhea’s Fusion Wedding

Rhea and her husband’s wedding was a breathtaking blend of love, culture, and artistry. Set against the backdrop of a Hindu-Catholic fusion ceremony, the day was brought to life through thoughtful details, bold pink tones, and meaningful handmade touches. Rhea’s KYNAH gown, discovered during a Pinterest scroll and later customized to perfection, captured her vision of elegance and tradition, adorned with sequins, pearls, and Indian-inspired embroidery. Their story, from engineering classmates to a heartfelt proposal overlooking Kenyan wildlife, added a beautiful depth to the celebration. With a custom veil, DIY décor, and the joy of dancing in her dream dress, Rhea’s wedding was nothing short of magical.

Our beautiful KYNAH bride Rhea, was truly glowing in a Custom Ice Blue Pearl Gown by Seema Gujral! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

As said by Rhea:
Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH?
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
For me, I wanted a gown that would make me feel like a princess with the ability to twirl and dance all through the night of my wedding. We were having a fusion Hindu/Catholic wedding, and being able to stay true to the ivory-white color in the shape of this stunning gown was so special to me. The embroidery work was so intricate and detailed, and I could still have that “Indian vibe.” I loved the sequin, crystal, and pearl detailing, and being able to design a custom veil with those elements to walk down the aisle felt incredibly special (and so easy) with the help of KYNAH stylists.

How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
For us, we wanted to embrace elements from both our backgrounds. We kept the ceremony relatively short, but we were able to include meaningful traditions from both the Hindu and Catholic sides. Working with our celebrant made it all so easy! In my free time, I love crafting and making handmade goods, so I was sure to include personal touches in the wedding - from the table centerpieces to a DIY postcard guestbook. The color pink was a must in the styling, and I wanted to lean into bold, vibrant tones that would enhance my ivory gown and create a fun, memorable atmosphere for all our guests. We couldn’t have done it without the help of our incredible vendors - it truly takes a tribe!
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
Wedding planning is a marathon! I think we started around 12 months before the big day, but by the time it arrived, we were exhausted. I highly recommend including a stylist or assigning a few more family members to help manage things on the day. It really helps you relax more in the lead-up to the celebration.
