What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
For my wedding dress, I knew I wanted to wear red. When I went to the pop-up shop to try on outfits, the Seema Gujral lehenga immediately stood out. The color was stunning, and the pattern felt classic yet modern. It was the first dress I tried on, and I just knew. It ended up being my favorite outfit from the entire wedding.
The proposal was the biggest surprise of my life! He told me we were going to California for a work trip of his, so I was really nervous because I had never met his work friends before and wanted to make a good impression. He didn’t tell anyone, not even my parents. When we got to the beach, off to one side was a huge setup with flowers, sparklers, and candles. I literally thought it was for someone else and started walking away, but he gently guided me toward it. I didn’t believe it was for me until we were standing right in front of the sign. Of course, I said yes! Then we surprised our parents, which was my second favorite part.
We originally met on Hinge, and within two dates, we officially decided we were dating. Our favorite activities include playing with our French bulldog Smoky, playing video games together, and watching movies in the theater. I feel like we’re so different sometimes, but we’re truly meant to be. I’ve never felt more comfortable around anyone else in my life.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
It was honestly such a blur, but my favorite part was that it was a destination wedding. All of our friends from around the world were able to come to India to celebrate with us which made it feel like a vacation with all of our favorite people. My favorite event was the pheras (ceremony); I truly felt like a princess. With the backdrop of Lake Pichola and the classic Udaipur palace setting, it felt like something out of a fairytale.
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
John Cena! Vish has been a fan since he was a little kid, and he recently got me into wrestling as well. I think he's just such a fun guy, and after seeing him having fun in India at the Ambani Wedding, I'm sure he would've had fun with us too! Vish almost walked out to the John Cena theme at his baraat. We'll invite him to our huge 10 year anniversary party, no worries.
