The Kaushik’s may have tied the knot virtually from the comfort of their kitchen as first steps. But, this past December they went out all celebrating their nuptials in the Sonoran Desert and could not have looked more beautiful! The KYNAH team was so happy to help Meredith achieve all of her childhood princess dreams with our Ziyah Lehenga! Congrats to these love birds, we wish them all the best on their future endeavors!

How was your experience working with KYNAH?

Wonderful! They helped provide me with the information I needed to get accurate measurements, gave me updates about fabrication and shipping, and followed up as soon as my order arrived to make sure everything arrived as expected. 

What was it about the Ziyah Lehenga that made you say “Yes!”? How did it make you feel?

I had a beautiful white gown for my wedding ceremony, so I wanted something for the second half of our reception that would make me feel just as glamorous in a color I especially loved. When I was a kid, my grandma made me a Cinderella dress as a costume; I wore it for years. My family always joked that I’d get married in my Cinderella dress. When I saw the Ziyah Lehenga, I felt like I’d found a way to pay homage to my Cinderella dress. I definitely felt like a princess when I put it on. 

How did you meet your husband? Tell us a little about your relationship.

Vikram and I met the old fashioned way, on the internet! He charmed me from the beginning with his sense of humor and ability to tell great stories. He proposed in May of 2019 before a trip to Japan. We planned to have our wedding in May of 2020, but COVID had other plans. We got married in our kitchen via Zoom and postponed our wedding until late 2021. It was so fun to finally be able to celebrate with our families this past December!

What was your wedding theme?

Our wedding was at the beautiful Tanque Verde Guest Ranch in Tucson, Arizona so it was important to us that the Rincon Mountains and saguaro cacti were the stars of the show. Our decor and clothing reflected the pinks, blues, and greens of the Sonoran desert and sky. 

What moment from your wedding will you never forget?

Vik’s family didn’t know he’d be performing a dance at our reception. When they heard “You are my Soniya” and realized he was getting up to dance, the crowd went wild!
