Linta’s Haldi Celebration: Where Tradition Meets Modern Elegance

Linta’s Haldi Celebration: Where Tradition Meets Modern Elegance

For Linta, KYNAH made finding her dream outfit effortless, with her stunning lehenga arriving within just three days and exceeding expectations. The modern twist on a traditional lehenga, featuring pineapples, cactus designs, and shell details, felt uniquely hers and perfectly reflected her personality. Her wedding day was a real-life fairytale, marrying her best friend Zander not once but twice, with emotional moments like walking down the aisle escorted by her four brothers and their golden doodle, Ollie, stealing the show. Every detail was personal and meaningful, from incorporating close family into the ceremonies to cherishing moments that brought lifelong dreams to life. For Linta, the day was a magical celebration of love, joy, and the promise of a beautiful future together.

Our beautiful KYNAH bride Linta, was truly glowing in the lehenga by The Little Black Bow! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.

What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!

One chilly Portland morning on February 22, 2023, the wind was blowing. Snow was falling. I was freezing. It was my very first snowfall. From raindrops to snowflakes, Zander and I strolled up the hill arm in arm to the Pittock Mansion. To my surprise, Zander held my hand, got down on one knee, presented the ring, and asked me to be his wife. It was magical. The rest is history.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
My favorite part of the wedding was to marry my best friend and my now husband, not once but twice in one day. I could have lived in my Indian lehenga all day long, but I was so excited to put on a beautiful white dress and watch him walk me down the aisle to marry him for the second time. Oh, it was such a precious moment. The whole wedding was so personal to me because all my close family members were a part of it which made it even more memorable and special to us. For our Indian ceremony, our Ollie boy (my 4-year-old medium golden doodle) was carried by Zander’s groomsmen. He definitely stole the show before I entered. I was escorted by my 4 brothers holding my long veil. I’m not an emotional person but boy, I cried walking down that aisle. Not because I was sad, but because the wedding of my dreams was unfolding right in front of my eyes and I was so overwhelmed with joy. I had been waiting for this day ever since I was little dreaming of a prince marrying me. It was a real-life fairytale coming to life for me.

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
Wedding planning can be stressful and if you are a perfectionist like me, you can get caught up in little details that truly don’t matter at the end of the day like for example - how the napkins are folded, etc. The wedding day goes by so fast, so focusing on the bigger picture that I am going to marry my man is prime.

If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
Taylor Swift- duh!! Taylor’s songs are so full of love. Two of my favorite songs are “Our Song” and “Love Story.” They always bring me back to the first date I had with Zander, that feeling of excitement I had when I first met him, and when he asked me to be his wife.
