Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
I had to plan my wedding in 5 months with only free weekends. So I did not have time to go to India like most brides do. I am so grateful KYNAH had a bridal experience that would allow me to try on 2 outfits I had already decided on and to see in person. It was a very personal experience which I love, having the entire store to myself and with my 2 maid of honors. I was able to do pre-measurements and fix any measurements that looked off at the store. Once I left and placed the order, I was given updates on status and pictures before it shipped in time for my wedding.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
For my wedding, I did not want anything red and just simple and elegant. As soon as this lehenga premiered on IG I immediately fell in love. I loved the detailed work and how elegant it looked. For my reception I wanted to be different and not do another lehenga, instead choosing something I could wear again. The cape was the highlight of this outfit.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
Our neighborhood is where spent a lot of our dating life, esp during COVID. It was around his birthday and I treated him to a nice dinner, which prompted me to dress nicely. Instead walking down the street to this restaurant we took a detour to this brand new retail space across our apartments that had not been open to the public yet, but the rooftop had the best views of the city. He took me all the way to the top and proposed out in the terrace.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
The smaller guest count and intimate setting. We made it very simple and elegant. My Mandap was very beautiful and simple, just the way I had imagine. We kept the mandate through the reception, so we could enjoy it all day with the essence of the fresh flowers. Also, we made the reception more like a free dance party and did not have a huge program so our friends and family can enjoy the music, food and drinks longer.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
That my lease ended the month before, I didn't realize until we got closer. But made a smooth transfer to another unit in my building.
