KYNAH Bride Pearl Patel was absolutely radiant in the Diana Lehenga for her reception. With an outdoors Italian garden theme in the ceremony and the reception, the entire wedding week was straight out of a Italian catalog. We wish the new happy couple so much happiness. Congratulations!

How was your experience with KYNAH?
KYNAH's website was super easy to navigate and correspondence with the team was even better. I stumbled upon KYNAH on a desperate google search for reception lehengas in the U.S. since shipping from India would be too risky. I was on a serious time crunch to find a reception dress for my wedding. I almost bought something I didn't love from David's Bridal in a panic. I received my order within a week's time after placing the order. It was received in perfect condition and I could not be more thankful that KYNAH was in business and serving clients in the U.S. during the global pandemic. We were not planning to have another wedding in the future so this truly was going to be the only memories/photos I had of our special day. Without sounding too dramatic, it seriously saved me!

What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme/aesthetic?
We're fortunate that we got to keep our whimsical Italian garden theme for the
morning ceremony by selecting a new venue and new decorator. We didn't want to over decorate the gorgeous garden in the morning, but we still wanted it to spark imaginations and for it to feel "homey" (it was a pandemic wedding with local family/friends after all). I thought of a creative way to display florals by having them "pour" out of Italian style flower pots like a waterfall. These were repurposes for the reception as our stage decor. The venue had a gorgeous greenery wall that was in full bloom for our wedding night that served as our backdrop. I added in twinkle lights, a purposeful choice over cafe lights, to emulate a starlit night sky in our open air venue.

What attracted you to this particular look & style for your outfits?
I saw a GORGEOUS Seema Gujral lehenga that had similar pearl beading to the one I purchased from KYNAH. I loved the KYNAH one more because it was so much more shimmery which is perfect for an evening event and because of the unique cool blue color. I had never seen a dress in this color before and it worked great for our end of summer wedding :)

How did you and your husband meet?
Long story short, we met at work, kept an eye on each other, but didn't talk until after I left the company. Longer short story, I was interning for a couple of months, he was a new hire mid-way through my internship. So the stars aligned for the short overlap we had and we're lucky we had technology to get us back in touch!

What were you most looking forward to on your big day?
The speeches. I LOVE hearing thoughtfully strung together sentences and it coming from those dearest to us, I knew I was going to feel an awful lot of gratitude afterwards. What I didn't realize was that our friends and family had prepared dances and that meant just as much! My husband joined my bridal party in a dance and I was all mush there onwards. That night was so meaningful to me and I will never forget the energy in the room that night.
