Under the Disco Balls in CDMX: Anisha’s Wedding in Two Stunning KYNAH Looks
KYNAH x Amit Aggarwal
Golden Nights Gown
£2,241.00
Anisha’s wedding journey was filled with intentional details, global inspiration, and a little serendipity — starting with a last-minute trip to KYNAH’s LA showroom. What began as a spontaneous visit with her mom led to the discovery of her dream looks: the shimmering Golden Nights Gown for her Mexico City welcome party and the sparkling Afeera Lehenga for a reception that matched her disco ball decor.
With a Lake Como proposal, a saxophone-accompanied first dance, and a celebration spread across stunning venues, Anisha and Sheiv brought their love story to life in the most unforgettable way.
Our beautiful KYNAH bride Anisha was truly glowing in the Golden Nights Gown by KYNAH x Amit Aggarwal and the Afeera Lehenga by Seema Gujral! Congratulations to this lovely couple — the KYNAH team couldn’t be happier for you both!
As said by Anisha:
Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
My mom and I made a last minute trip to LA to search for wedding outfits. I messaged KYNAH's Instagram account asking for appointments since they were all booked up. They put me on a "waitlist" for appointments and they had a cancellation. We were able to come in and had the store to ourselves. Srinidhi Rao was so great! She helped me pull outfits based on my preference and try them on. We had a blast! Being an Indian Bride in the US is hard because we don't get that typical wedding dress shopping experience. I definitely felt that when I came in person to the KYNAH store!
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
My wedding was in Mexico City so I was looking to something unique for my welcome party. I knew the Golden Nights Gown was perfect! For my reception, I really wanted something that sparkled (like my disco ball decor) and I was not disappointed!
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
Ever since we started dating we were obsessed with the idea of going to Italy together. We would constantly send each other Instagram posts and we knew we had to make it happen! Fast forward to the summer of 2022 and we made it happen. We had 3 weeks in Italy and essentially started from the top of the country and zig-zagged our way down, hitting all the major cities. Our second stop was Lake Como and Sheiv took the reins planning that city because he had already been there before. One of the activities was a boat ride around the lake, including Nesso, which was a place we would constantly send each other. When we stopped there, Sheiv proposed and I fell to my knees in shock. It was everything I could have asked for and more!
Our first dance was to Sure Thing by Miguel, which we played on the boat in Lake Como. We had it choreographed and added a little touch by having our Saxophonist play alongside the actual song. It was everything we could have dreamed of!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
Celebrating with all our friends and family in a city that we love! I love greenery (we have too many house plants) and Sheiv loves architecture. Mexico city brings both of those together beautifully and we wanted to highlight that! A lot of our guests had never visited Mexico City before, so we intentionally had each event at a different venue so our guests could get a taste of all that the city has to offer.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning yourwedding?Everyone told me, so I knew but somehow didn't listen or believe it, but the wedding flies by in a blink of an eye. One moment, you're sitting in your HMU chair for your mehndi event, and the next, you're at your reception.
I would also say over communicate with everyone. Never assume they know because they probably don't unless you communicate it!!
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
Peggy Gou! She is our favorite DJ and have traveled the world to see her.
