Our bride, Uzma, had a seamless experience working with the KYNAH team, who helped her customize her mehendi lehenga and coordinated closely with designers to bring her vision to life. During her in-store try-on, the team thoughtfully listened to her feedback and guided her to pieces that made her feel confident and beautiful. Her favorite event was the backyard pithi hosted by her parents, filled with handmade decor created by friends, family, and neighbors, making it incredibly personal and heartfelt. Uzma and her husband got engaged in New York City, a place they visit annually, right by the Brooklyn Bridge, where they had once joked about taking engagement photos years earlier. Reflecting on the journey, she recommends future brides prepare for the emotional and physical toll of wedding planning—but also to savor the magic of the moments shared with loved ones.
Our beautiful bride Uzma was glowing in the Prisha Lehenga by Mahima Mahajan! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH.
The KYNAH team was incredibly helpful throughout the whole process. From helping me customize my mehendi lehenga to coordinating with the individual designers, the team went above and beyond to help.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
When I tried the pieces on in store, the girls weren’t fake about it looking good immediately. They listened to my comments about how the different pieces made me feel and helped pull other items that I wasn’t considering earlier, based on my feedback, which is how I ultimately got to the pieces I selected.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
My husband and I have visited New York City every year since we started dating. We’re big foodies, so we’re always trying new spots with friends there or just enjoying a relaxed picnic at the park. On our first trip to NYC, I really wanted to walk across the Brooklyn bridges, take in the view, and also get some pictures. As our friends were taking pictures of us, someone made a comment about the pictures looking like engagement photos. We both laughed it off because we hadn’t been dating for a year at that point. Then on our 2023 NYC trip he proposed right next to the bridge!!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
My pithi was my favorite wedding event. My parents decided to host that event from their backyard, and we made all of the decor ourselves. When people say it takes a village, they really do mean it! We spent months sourcing all the decor and getting all of the little details sorted. My family, friends, and neighbors would come by to help over the weekends, and it made that event so special. Everywhere I looked, I could see something that someone I love created. That event and all the prep leading up to it really reminded me that I have the most supportive people in my life, and I couldn’t have done it without them!
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
I wish someone had told me how tiring wedding planning can be when you’re hosting a big Indian / Pakistani wedding! I was fueled with so much adrenaline throughout the planning process that I was completely drained after the events.
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
This is very hard, but I think if we both had to agree, it would be Diljit Dosanjh. My husband and I have both gotten into Punjabi music over the last couple of years, and we love his work. He seems like such a genuinely fun guy from all of his interviews. His Coachella and late-night show performances were amazing, so his vibe would have been perfect for our dance floor!
