Floral and Fusion in Aisha Rao: Sharvari’s Wedding Day

Floral and Fusion in Aisha Rao: Sharvari’s Wedding Day

When Sharvari first glimpsed her KYNAH outfit, she knew it was destined to be unforgettable. The Japanese-inspired design, with its floral motifs and sustainable ethos, perfectly mirrored the spirit of her wedding—elegant, unexpected, and sustainable. Her partner's creative proposal at San Francisco’s Palace of Fine Arts, where they first met, set the stage for a celebration as unique as their love story. From the organic florals at Brooklyn Grange to the fusion of Sanskrit and English in their vows, every detail was thoughtfully crafted to reflect their two cultures.

Our beautiful KYNAH bride Sharvari, was truly glowing in the Ivory Divergence Heavily Applique Embellished Lehenga Set by Aisha Rao! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!

What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
He set up a bunch of puzzle games that would take me around the apartment, and eventually, he proposed at the Palace of Fine Arts in San Francisco, the city we met. We met at a Halloween party in 2019 and started dating seriously during COVID. We’ve been everywhere together, including a move to NYC.

What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
I love how organic it was—the florals were beautifully tied to the seasonal flowers at the grange and Indian traditional flowers. Our pundit did a reading in both Sanskrit and English, and I really wanted to focus on fusion, as we are from two cultures. The weather was perfect, and our caterer was spectacular and authentic. I also love the mission of our venue, Brooklyn Grange.

What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
Not to stress about the small stuff, but people can tell when you’ve put in an effort. The day goes by so fast!
