How did you hear about KYNAH? How was your experience working with KYNAH?
During the pandemic, I did a lot of my vendor research on Instagram (as most of us covid brides had to do) and found KYNAH. The following year I saw KYNAH was doing its first NYC pop-up, and I knew I had to get an appointment. I remember waiting for the appointments to drop on the website like I was waiting for concert tickets LOL. At the NYC pop-up, I loved working with Simran! She was so kind as I tried on so many beautiful pieces and made me feel so comfortable asking questions, etc.
What about the Pali Lehenga made you say 'Yes!'? What did you love about it the most?
I love how the Pali lehenga merged the "east meets west" concept with South Asian bridal -- a stunning ivory/champagne lehenga with intricate pearl and sequin work. I also loved how I sparkled under the store's lights and knew it would look a million times more sparkly at the reception. Who doesn't love a Seema Gujral outfit right?
How did he propose? Tell us a little about your relationship!
My husband and I have been together for almost 6 years! We met on DilMil in 2017 and did long distance for about two and a half years. He proposed on a getaway trip to Los Angeles at the Los Angeles County Arboretum & Botanic Gardens on 2/29/20. The proposal was just us & a photographer (which I loved), and then he surprised me with an engagement shoot and a video with well-wishes from our close family & friends. We finally had our wedding on October 1, 2022, in Virginia Beach, VA. Best week of my life!
What is one moment from your wedding day you wish you could relive?
Our first look -- we did it on the beach at sunrise. The moment was filled with so much anticipation. We also did private vows that we wrote to each other. Super special and I wish I could go back!
Do you have any advice for brides/brides-to-be?
When shopping for outfits, I highly recommend knowing what type of outfit (saree, lehenga, gown) and color you want to wear for each event. It helps a ton with narrowing down your looks for wedding shopping! I also loved that I picked one color for each event. Helped each of my looks feel a bit special!
