Howdy & Namaste: Kashika's Special Day
From falling in love in the streets of Birmingham, Alabama during graduate school to an surprise proposal where they shared one of their first dates, Kashika and Marshall's beautiful journey from friendship to love set the stage for a wedding that celebrated both of their unique cultures and shared history. Their special day was a heartfelt fusion of Christian and Hindu traditions, perfectly embodying the essence of "Howdy & Namaste."

How was your experience working with KYNAH?
I visited the store in-person and had a personable and welcoming experience! Khushbu pulled many amazing pieces tailored to our preferences and styles for me and my maid of honor to try. Following our visit, we continued to coordinate via e-mail and I found the team to be very responsive, helpful, and willing to address any questions I had.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
I chose KYNAH for all of my bridesmaids outfits because of the variety of options in designers, style, color, and price points that they offer. KYNAH stood out because of their beautifully curated collection of clothes and accessories.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
My partner and I met in Graduate School in Birmingham, AL. We quickly became close friends and started dating after. One of our first dates was on our favorite street in Birmingham, and we went back to visit for a weekend and he caught off me guard by proposing on the very same street.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
To let go of the little things! During the wedding, all you will feel is the energy, love, and pure joy from being celebrated by your communities and getting to marry your forever partner! You won't even have time to notice the little things, so let those details go and do your best to enjoy the planning process and take it all in! Time flies by and it will be over before you know it!
If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why?
Paul Janeway, the lead singer of St. Paul and the Broken Bones, which is one of our favorite bands and they are Birmingham based. The lead singer is incredibly talented, seems like a great time, and a great entertainer
