It's crazy to think we ordered our reception outfits all online and they fit perfectly! KYNAH works with such amazing designers, it made the process so easy and we loved our lehengas so much! 
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
The mirrorwork detailing on the lehengas was absolutely stunning. There was no question, we knew we wanted a Seema Gujral lehenga, and KYNAH has such an extensive collection of her work!
Since we’re two girls, everyone always asked who would propose. Deepa is definitely the planner between us, and I love being surprised, so we mutually decided she would propose but the how was a complete secret! During a trip to Hawaii, she planned a “spa day” for us to get our hair and nails done, which I innocently thought was just part of our hotel’s vacation package. Afterward, she told me we had dinner at a rooftop restaurant, but when we got there, it was a beautiful table for two with sushi (my favorite food) and tropical flowers in front of the ocean. Then she got down (in her heels!) and proposed. It was an immediate yes!
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
Our favorite part, hands down, was our joint haldi! As a same-sex couple, we modified a few traditions to make them our own, and the haldi was so fun—everyone got involved, covering us in turmeric and pouring water over both of us. Most importantly, we were so honored that all our friends and families, including our parents and even all the aunties and uncles, came out to support us. We never imagined we’d get to have the “big fat Indian wedding” of our dreams, surrounded by so much love. It truly felt like a dream come true, especially in a time when so many LGBTQ+ people are still fighting for acceptance. 
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
Something will go wrong and that’s okay! Just roll with the punches. We were so stressed about the chance of rain since our ceremony was in early spring, but it ended up being a heatwave instead. Everyone was boiling in the sun during the ceremony, but it all worked out in the end. 
We honestly could not pick between Taylor Swift and SRK.
