A Myriad of KYNAH for Prabha Dublish

A Myriad of KYNAH for Prabha Dublish
Prabha and Derek started with a wedding over Zoom at the peak of COVID and continued the celebration in Mexico nearly three years later! Prabha was truly a vision in the Nazia, Avani, and Bradshaw in front of the beautiful blue waters of Mexico. Congratulations Prabha and Derek - the KYNAH Team is so happy to be a part of your dream wedding! We wish you both all the love and ever-lasting joy together.
How was your experience working with KYNAH?
Working with the Kynah team was a dream. I was buying my outfits near the peak of COVID and I knew that traveling to India wasn’t an option. I still wanted to feel confident in the outfits I was buying and wanted to be able to try them on in person. I’m so glad that I made the trek out to LA to visit the store. The pieces that I thought were going to be perfect online, I didn’t love. I ended up choosing some outfits based on the recommendation of the stylist there and I have no regrets - they all turned out beautifully. The outfits arrived a couple months before the wedding, giving me plenty of time to make small adjustments and pick out all my accessories!

What about the Nazia, Bradshaw, and Avani stood out to you? How did you know they were perfect for your events?
Nazia - I wanted a lehenga that had a twist on the traditional wear. I knew that I wanted to wear rani pink - it’s my grandmother’s and I’s favorite color. My wedding was also in Mexico on a sunny beach - this outfit was light while still having beautiful handwork that made me feel like a princess. Bradshaw - I’ve admired Papa Don’t Preach for years - dreaming of owning one. I knew that my welcome event was the perfect time to wear one to start off my wedding weekend. It was the perfect vibe for a rooftop party in Mexico! They altered the design blouse to fit what I was looking for which I really appreciated. Avani - this wasn’t even online! I was so lucky that they had a piece online. The second I put it on I knew it was the one - the beautiful pearl handwork with the unique design made it such a winner. It felt more modern than my bridal lehenga which felt perfect!

How did he propose? Tell us more about your relationship!
Derek and I met as freshmen in college almost 8 years ago. We come from totally different backgrounds - Derek was born in China while I was born in India. So many things had to go right for us to meet each other freshman year and live on the same floor! He proposed right before COVID at our favorite resort surrounded by family and friends. Our wedding was always up in the air from there when COVID happened. We ended up doing a zoom wedding in June 2020 and finally planned our dream wedding in Mexico in October 2022, almost 3 years after we had gotten engaged!

Do you have any advice for brides/brides-to-be?
My biggest advice is to live in the moment. There’s always another thing to do when your wedding is happening, but before you know it, it’ll all be over. Take a moment and really soak it in. When I walked down the aisle, I stopped and took a deep breath, it’s such a core memory for me that I will never forget.
