When it came to finding her wedding dress, Memnon knew she wanted something unique, modern, and elegant. Her search brought her to KYNAH where the attentive staff ensured her vision was brought to life with a customized lehenga. After her partner's romantic proposal on the scenic Oregon Coast, the couple decided to celebrate their love with an intimate wedding in the enchanting setting of Bali. The ceremony at Hotel Indigo Bali Seminyak was a breathtaking culmination of their dreams, creating a perfect moment that reflected their deep bond and shared journey.
Our beautiful KYNAH bride Memnon, was truly glowing in the Rose Gold Pearl Drop Lehenga Set by Seema Gujral. Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!
As said by Memnon:
How did you hear about KYNAH? How was your experience working with KYNAH?
KYNAH was precisely what I was looking for. I’ve always been interested in Indian fashion, and for my wedding, I wanted to move away from typical Western wedding dresses. I finally settled on wearing a lehenga, but it was a bit of a challenge to find where I would find a showroom that had modern lehenga styles I was looking for in the SoCal area. I then found KYNAH and the search stopped there. KYNAH was the one and only bridal showroom I visited, as they had so many options to choose from. Before my first visit to the store, I emailed staff a few options I saw online and detailed the general look I was looking for. The staff was very attentive to my wants and understood the vision perfectly. Before coming in, I was prepared to jump around a few vendors/showrooms and for the tough back-and-forth decisions that many of my friends went through for their weddings. KYNAH made it easy as they had multiple lehengas, all of which could be the “one.” So, the only hard decision was which lehenga from KYNAH to pick. The staff made that decision a bit easier, as they offered possible customization to a few of my top picks. They inquired if production could swap the color on a specific pink lehenga for a more ivory/off-white look and got back to us quickly with the good news. I also wanted a modern bridal veil look and staff helped me by showing me different styles that can be achieved with dupattas. This was my first experience with lehengas, and I was a bit nervous about choosing something new for me. Staff were the best teachers and trained me well. I could not have asked for a better experience.
What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
KYNAH’s collection was simply elegant and modern. I knew it was the one for me because of how well they fit on my body and how it made me feel.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
My Partner and I have been together for over 14 years now. We met during my freshman year of college, and we have been inseparable since. Being together for so many years, we were already fully committed to each other and felt married. My now-husband wanted to make it official and proposed about three years ago (we are clearly not in any rush). We went on a trip to the Oregon Coast, and he proposed there.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
My favorite part of the wedding was the ceremony, as it exceeded our expectations. I was very open to just having a simple court wedding, but my husband insisted on making it special. We then agreed to a destination wedding in Bali with only close family and friends. Our wedding planner and the wedding venue went above and beyond and completely matched our vision.
What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding?
I wish I decided and purchased my wedding shoes (specifically for heel height) before the fitting. I bought a pair of heels I owned that I thought would be a good height and I would just buy a final pair later. Turns out it was very difficult to find a good match with the heel height I wore to the fitting.
