What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
The wedding saree was absolutely ethereal — I had always dreamed of wearing a saree for my ceremony, and this set was the perfect blend of femininity, charm, and timeless elegance. The veil completed the look beautifully. As for the reception dress, it truly took everyone’s breath away — it was the perfect mix of sultry and sophisticated, and I felt so confident wearing it.
How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship!
Austin is truly is everything I could have ever imagined in a partner, I absolutely adore him. On the day he proposed, he took me to a lake in City Park, Denver, where he first told me he loved me.
What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make the wedding personal to you?
I have two favorite parts of our day. The first was seeing Austin for the first time during our first look — he completely lit up, and in that moment, we were able to pause and really soak in everything we were feeling before the whirlwind of the day began. The second was getting ready with my best friends, my mom, and my sister; sharing those quiet, joyful moments with the strong and amazing women who have supported me through every chapter of my life made the day feel so special and deeply personal. We made our wedding personal by weaving in meaningful traditions and details that felt true to us — from the mix of cultural elements to the vows and performances. Every choice reflected our story, our families, and the love we wanted to celebrate with everyone there.
One thing I wish I knew before planning our wedding is that you really don’t need to do everything yourself. It’s so tempting to try to control every detail, but asking for help (and accepting it!) makes the process so much more joyful and way less stressful. the day really does go by in a beautiful blur. You spend months planning every moment, but once it arrives, it flies by so quickly. Our friends and family stepped in to help, calm nerves, and make the day feel even more special. It reminded me that weddings are truly about community and connection, not just the details.
Honestly, we would have loved to have had our grandparents there to witness us finding and choosing the perfect person for each other! We wouldn't have turned down an Ed Sheeran surprise performance though!
