Koralie’s love story feels effortlessly cinematic—rooted in chance encounters, deep intention, and a shared appreciation for culture, faith, and individuality. From meeting in London over the scent of a candle to building a life together in New York City, her journey with Faraaz is as romantic as it is real. For her Nikkah, Koralie turned to KYNAH in search of something that honored tradition while still feeling unmistakably her—and found it in a timeless white wedding saree that struck the perfect balance between heritage and modern elegance. With an intimate, deeply personal celebration and a look that felt true to every part of her story, Koralie reminds us that the most beautiful weddings are the ones rooted in authenticity.
Our beautiful KYNAH bride Koralie, was truly glowing in Ivory Sequin Sari by Seema Gujral! Congratulations to this lovely couple - the KYNAH team couldn't be happier for the both of you!
As said by Koralie: Tell us about your experience working with KYNAH. I had such a wonderful experience with KYNAH. From the team in India to the team in LA, everyone was so personable and truly made me feel listened to throughout the process. They created a bespoke experience that was always centered around my happiness, and I never once felt like just another customer.
Ordering a bridal dress online is incredibly nerve-wracking, but the KYNAH team put my concerns at ease. They answered all of my questions quickly, reassured me at every step, and made it clear that customer care was their top priority.
On top of that, their selection is absolutely stunning, by far the best I came across, both online and in person. KYNAH really delivers the best in modern Indian bridal wear and I am already recommending to my friends. What stood out to you the most about your outfit from KYNAH? How did you know it was the one for you?
As someone who had never worn Indian wedding attire before, I wanted something that felt both true to tradition and reflective of my own modern style. My saree struck that perfect balance. It was timeless yet fresh, and felt so uniquely me. Finding a white wedding saree was not easy by any means, but KYNAH's selection truly stood out. The moment I saw this one online, I just knew it was exactly what I had been searching for! How did your partner propose? Tell us more about the relationship! My partner Faraaz proposed on a surprise trip to Cartagena, Colombia—a trip I’ll never forget. The proposal didn’t exactly go as he first planned (we both came down with food poisoning the night he was going to ask which is a whole story in itself). But in true Faraaz fashion, he turned it around into something unforgettable. He popped the question during the most romantic, candlelit beachside dinner on a private island.
As for how we met, well, that’s another story that could have been written for a Hallmark movie. I was living in London as a Master’s student, and Faraaz owned a candle, homeware, and clothing business. I smelled the scent from one of his candles from a distance, which lured me into his storefront. I bought a candle, got his business card, reached out to him, and the rest is history.
After 4.5 years of long-distance (US to UK) love won. Today, we’ve finally been living together in New York City for a full year! What was your favorite part of your wedding? How did you make your wedding personal to you? My favorite part of the Nikkah (where I wore the KYNAH saree) was seeing Faraaz's face as I walked down the aisle. In that moment, I felt so loved, beautiful, and overcome with joyful emotions that I was beginning our life together; despite borders, distance, and a difference in religion and culture.
Our Nikkah ceremony was led by an incredible imam, Mustafa Briggs. He did an excellent job bridging our Islamic/Christian faiths in his message. What is one thing you wish you knew before you started planning your wedding? Do things for yourself, not for others. It is for you and your partner. Be authentic and true to your desires, not what you think other would want/prefer. If you and your husband could have invited any celebrity to your wedding, who would it be and why? Snoh Aalegra for sure! Her album, "UGH, Those Feels Again" was the soundtrack to the start of our relationship. It brings back the emotions of falling in love with each other, feelings that give me chills to this day.
Kept it simple! Ya girl did her makeup by herself! Made the flower arrangements from purchasing wholesale and making them with the help of family (which was actually a really fun activity the day before).
