Shurooq Khan was a contemporary vision of beauty in the Chavvi Lehenga by Seema Gujral! The KYNAH team was thrilled to be part of this enchanting wedding with the loveliest bride. Congrats to this beautiful couple, we wish them a lifetime of love & happiness!
How was your experience shopping with Team KYNAH?
My experience was very smooth, and I would honestly recommend it to any brides who have events coming up this year. I will definitely be purchasing items in the future from KYNAH and I am looking forward to attending the NYC KYNAH pop-up this summer!
What was it about the Chavvi Lehenga that you were drawn to?
I really wanted something that was cream, or blush pink. I was already going to be wearing red to my Nikkah and I wanted a color that was more muted. I was drawn to the color of the Chavvi Lehenga first, and then pearl detail. I knew that the details would photograph well. My older sisters played a large part in helping me decide. They really wanted something that would fit the scale of the event while also matching my style
How did he propose?
We were in a long-distance relationship and during one of my trips to New Jersey to visit him, he decided to wake me up early in the morning and do a surprise activity. The car ride was very long and I genuinely had no idea where we were going. We ended up at FlyNYON Helicopter tours. As we were getting strapped in, they mentioned that we were on a private 2-seater Helicopter. Everyone else that was getting strapped in was in a large 6-seater Helicopter. Before we got on the helicopter, Farabi asked the pilot to take some pictures of us with the Helicopter and that was when he got down on one knee.
I distinctly remember texting my friends group chat a photo afterwards. One of them asked if I knew he was going to propose that day. Another one replied, "look at her chipped nails, she had no idea."
Any advice for brides/brides-to-be?
There is always going to be a desire to have everything meticulously planned out. There is going to be a detailed schedule and certain expectations. Just know, that things are going to go wrong, people are not going to be on time and there are lots of things that are just not in your hands. At the end of the day, this is your big day, you have to enjoy it and not let the little things get to you.
What is one moment from your wedding day that you will never forget?
There are so many moments that are unforgettable from my wedding events. The one thing that stands out for me is the fact that I remember enjoying each and every single one of my events. This was all thanks to my family, but most importantly, my eldest sister, Seme. She was the wedding planner of my dreams and she made sure that everything fell into place. I was able to show up at my wedding and enjoy myself knowing that everything was taken care of.
