KYNAH Bride, Sanna Khoja, was rocking KYNAH outfits all wedding week long! Each of the three outfits Sanna chose looked amazing on her in their own special way. What was once a casual hangout with some friends in 2006 turned into this classy and beautiful wedding and forever together. Congratulations to these newly weds! The KYNAH team wishes you happiness and success!
What was your experience like working with KYNAH for your wedding?
Working with KYNAH was the easiest part of planning my wedding! Aisha and her team were responsive, kind and easy to work with. My outfits were exactly what I envisioned for my wedding!
What attracted you to choosing the Azmi Outfit, Skyla Lehenga, and Brigitte Lehenga for your wedding looks, along with your customization choices?
I loved the color and style of the Azmi Outfit as yellow is the traditional color for a pithi. I didn't have an actual pithi ceremony because of the pandemic, but as soon as I saw that outfit, I knew I wanted to wear it. It is so cute, simple and I love the dhoti style pants.
The Brigitte Lehenga is one of my favorites. I knew I didn't want to wear a sari because I'm petite and feel more comfortable and beautiful in lehengas. It has these beautiful flowers and leaves embroidered in silver with tiny pearl embellishments. It was originally a rose gold color which I absolutely loved, but when I was sent the blouse to try on at home (which was so helpful in making my decision), the color didn't suit me at all! I was so glad that I was able to try it on and see what it looked like before deciding to purchase it. Aisha helped me look at so many other options for a nikkah outfit. I still didn't find myself liking anything else, and the Brigitte Lehenga was just stuck in my head. Aisha mentioned that it was also available in gray and silver and that's what I went with. It turned out to be just perfect for me!
For my reception, I wanted a glamorous mermaid style lehenga. The Skyla Lehenga caught my eye because its design is so intricate and gorgeous. I haven't seen anything like it! I almost considered wearing it in its original color. However, I've always wanted to wear a traditional bright red lehenga, and Aisha said it was possible to customize this! I also wanted an off the shoulder blouse and this lehenga's blouse was customizable in a way where the integrity of the design would remain intact while also giving me the look that I wanted. Aisha definitely understood the vision I had for my outfit, and suggested a train. It all turned out to be exactly what I wanted and I looked fabulous!
How did you and your husband meet?
We met through friends in high school in 2006. His friend was dating my friend and we were forced to hangout with each other on a random Sunday. We annoyed each other that whole day and still kept in touch for years until we started dating in 2012.
What was the inspiration behind your wedding theme/aesthetic?
We didn't have a theme in mind. We wanted to look and feel glamorous and our clothes from KYNAH and Kamran Bespoke and our venue helped us achieve that!
If you had to choose one moment from your wedding, what would it be?
When Alizain (my husband) joined his cousins on a dance performance. He is not a dancer and it was a wonderful surprise!
